Cupping

Like Acupuncture, Cupping is simple and safe, and at the same time, quite an effective treatment tool. Cupping therapy has been used in China and some African countries for several thousand years.

Cupping is a suction technique designed to pull toxin build-up and muscle spasms from the body’s deeper tissue to the surface of the skin. The cells of the body use oxygen and give off carbon dioxide. When the energy is blocked, the cell waste (carbon dioxide) gets blocked. This is called acid or toxin build-up.

Uses for Cupping Therapy:

  • When there is a perceived sensation of ‘blockage’, in either a physical or emotional sense;

  • Rigidity, tension and blocking of the neck, chest and breathing tract due to excessive mucus;

  • Relief of musculoskeletal rigidity, tension, and pain;

  • Digestive problems;

  • Pain and swelling;

  • Respiratory disorders;

  • Common colds.

Once on the surface, it is much easier for the body to eliminate toxins through the superficial blood supply or capillary system. In only ten minutes of cupping, not only can we pull toxin build-up out of specific areas, but we can also pull fresh new blood into those areas.
